Re: Radio pbp
I’m neutral on him. Other than Graff I’ve never liked any of our PBP guys.

Re: Baseball vs UNO
I hate replay I hate that it’s used for everything. It should be for fair/foul, catch/drop or other close plays that could affect the game’s outcome. I also don’t like umpires using it inconsistently like reviewing our hit batter after not reviewing ULL’s. As I recall, they did review the ULL hit b...

Re: Extremely premature Tulane baseball observations
ULL has had Some success, but I don’t remember them ever being ranked #1. They probably had to hold their noses to rank coastal carolina #1 the year they won the championship ULL was 8-9 when the season was cancelled in 2020. They've had some success, to be sure, but the coach who got it for them u...

Re: Extremely premature Tulane baseball observations
It's obviously early, and there's room for things to change, but you can't feel good about dropping 2/3 to ULL. While they're not terrible, this is a team you should win the series from at home. We looked tight and grossly ineffective (other than the endgame on Friday) in crunch time. I hope it imp...

Re: Extremely premature Tulane baseball observations
Solesky had the makings of a very good pitcher. The catchers on that roster really liked his potential. Do you remember, in this world, the pitching coach we once had? These are just some of the reasons why I think we are so young today. Just my $.02 opinion. And in Year 5, Jewett has added some ni...

Re: Extremely premature Tulane baseball observations
The reference to Pierce class was a reflection of subsequently having to build the pitching roster year after year. Solesky leaving didn’t help. You can’t a deep staff in one year unless you are Vanderbilt. There was definitely a ripple effect. This is year 5, nobody asked for anyone to build a dee...

Re: Extremely premature Tulane baseball observations
I see where someone stated we were inconsistent hitting. We had 20 hits today, so I think we probably are going to be somewhere in the middle with consistency developing as these kids get a 100+ at-bats. It is way too early to make any concrete observations. We have 53 games left. How can a basebal...

Re: Extremely premature Tulane baseball observations
I’m asking if y’all think it is. I think most agree that it should be, but due to circumstances like last year being cut short, maybe it is not.gerryb323 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 9:46 pmIs it? Wouldn’t shock me at all if ULL is a regional team. Deggs is a really good coach.

Re: Eagles fire Doug Pederson 3 years after SB win
Update: blame seems to be falling on failed relationship with Wentz https://www.inquirer.com/eagles/philadelphia-eagles-doug-pederson-jeffrey-lurie-carson-wentz-20210113.html interesting in that a new coach could possibly want to emulate the Ravens offense and Lamar by building it around Hurts thus...

Re: Temple 65-57
We have to be patient. Defense is playing well. Eventually the offense will click. The big positive is that James played a lot of minutes and scored. We need more pieces but keep Forbes, Walker and James next year and it is a nice nucleus. Losing sucks, but it is a process. The results might not sh...
