Re: "Plug In" with Troy Dannen

I agree. There has been some mention of it in articles about the NFL. You would think it would be one of the forefront things they were mentioning for on field safety. Also you now see many of the players wearing athletic clothing referred to as sleeves that covers their arms and legs to prevent inj...

Re: Tulane-LSU Football

Insisting that even one game has to be played in Yulman is a deal killer. They will never play there. More importantly it would be beyond stupid for Tulane to want to play it there and lose money rather than make a good deal of money in the Dome.

Re: Raising revenue and cutting expenses

2 is a good idea, but how long has it been since basketball games were scheduled Fri/Sat or even Thur/Sat? I feel like the closest is Sat/Mon maybe. I would guess 3 we would never get the type of opponents that would drive gate to agree to come here to play us. Maybe something at the "Shrine on Air...

Each (for desktop, at least; I don't use my phone for Internet) user can go to their own profile and edit it to select the "Subsilver2" style. It's pretty much the old format, although a few glitches remain from the switchover to a new server. Those glitches are being worked on. I went to my profil...

Not at this point. The NCAA dead period was extended to June 30th. There could possibly be another extension of the dead period.

Re: Fritz interview with Trahan

I am not in favor of renewing the series with the tiggers unless it is home-and-home. I would not mind our home games being at the dome if that is what it takes, nor object to them getting a bigger ticket allotment than most visiting teams. Also, it needs to be the season finale. Tradition counts. ...

Thank you. I agree with your assessment. He appears to have a strong arm, touch, good field vision and good feel for pressure. Any idea the level of competition he was playing at?

Thanks for taking the time to break that down. I wouldn't worry about there being a full complement of scholarships available in 2023. We'll have attrition and a medical redshirt or two.

Re: Teshaun Hightower

With no in person workouts, what exactly does going through the draft process even mean right now? A few online interviews with a low level scout and a player being told he likely won’t be drafter? Hightower will not be drafted and should get his degree. Given the current circumstances, does a 20 s...

Well, I see that the first topic has drawn so much interest. Let's list the fan bases we least like to have visit for a TU home football game, again, top three. My number one - is there any doubt? I started to make a topic rule excluding them because, well, letting them compete for the title of mos...

Re: Cincinnati to drop men’s soccer

I do wonder what the actual numbers are for college baseball versus, say, WBB. For most schools - the occasional sport-specific outlier like Penn State VB or Iowa Wrestling excluded obviously - it's football, mens's basketball, and then those two. I think regional bias needs to be taken out. People...

Re: Cincinnati to drop men’s soccer

C'mon folks. We have to do better than "Why not" and "Because." If you think, we should wring our hands about baseball, then again, Why? Baseball for example is much less of a net cash drain than football or basketball (both men's and women's.) However in the Southeast, it is not a "minor" sport. I...
