Not counting the Super-Regional series a few years ago.
We were "conference mates" back then?

Re: New College Football Rules for 2024

2 minute warning was invented before clocks were readily available to all during a game. Completely unnecessary in 2024. Just what we needed, to make the sport more like the NFL. God this sucks so bad. Something fun and culturally rich just being shat on by the corporate suits at the TV networks. M...

Re: CFP 2024

Last article I saw said that the sec and Big10 are likely going to keep pushing for the top two spots to be guaranteed to their winners. Why wouldn't they? Why would anyone even entertain such an idea? Because they can. They will do whatever they can get away with. No interest in fair play or sport...

Re: vs. NWU for the series

We manage to end the inning on a double play -- flyout to right field, runner on third scores, runner on second tries to score and is out at the plate. Not a smart play to make out a home with Teo Banks coming up.

Loved the New Era video. Agree that even more Sumrall would have been good. Too bad they posted the CCG score instead of the bowl score. Can that be corrected on edit?

He does follow the sport as a whole and has paid more attention to the G5 than most national writers. It does count in that he at least went the extra step to note the conditions of the teams that lost in bowls. Unfortunately, the CFP committee isn’t going to solicit his opinion when it’s time for ...

Re: Final AP Top 25

Chris Vannini of The Athletic just published his ranking of all 133 CFB teams. In his article he discusses the challenges of including bowl games with the transfer portal and opt outs impacting some teams greatly. In the end, he decided to include bowl games while taking into account the status of t...

Re: Final AP Top 25

It seems rather pointless to me to bother with a poll after these bowl games. With the transfer portal and pro opt-outs, the teams playing bowl games often are very different from those in the regular season. So who are the AP folks really ranking? Regular season or bowl performance? How is Liberty ...

Re: Tulane 117 Furman 110 2OT

A 7-2 start to the season has Tulane primed for an NCAA appearance. Zero bad OOC losses and some future wins against higher ranked AAC teams will lead us to the tourney. Cross is criminally underrated and Forbes is still heating up. Even with Hunter’s stubborn defensive scheme, this team can outsco...

They’re young adults, please leave them be. They likely have friends in this current tug of war and are caught in the middle. Plus their own future decisions to worry about. So staying out of the way is probably better for everyone. So stay out of the way in encouraging our captains to lead the tea...
