Thanks. Understood. Just describing my particular access issues. The sitemaster started this thread so I’m sure PTP are reading it.

Re: YOGWF

Same here. No smartphone service and intermittent on other devices. I love the history attached to this site but it’s almost meaningless if a user can’t even access the site. Please just get us something that works reliably in real-time. Otherwise interested community members will simply move on.

Jaxon Ducre, OL, from Brother Martin announced his commitment on Xitter today. PWO?

Just curious. Any relation to Christian Ducre of several decades ago?

Re: Point of order... the season is over ....Hunter should be fired

In a world of wannabes and rank imitators, no one- not one other school has adopted Hunterball nor tried to hire him from Tulane. 350+ other D1 teams have passed on it and him.

That’s the real story here especially after months of hopscotch by other coaches and ADs.

London tabloids are reporting Kate Middleton has been hired to photoshop Dannen in full Cornholer regalia for press release for Friday’s NCAA games.

Through these portals walk the loosest wallets in college football

Confusion to the P2. Maybe Dannen got a taste of those five hour plus flights to Seattle from other B1G schools.

Re: Stockton Announces Retirement

My point is Tulane is fully capable of being a Top 50 team consistently, regardless of coach. Devlin is a great venue for WBB (not MBB). Under Stockton Tulane went from Top 50 to Top 100 to maybe Top 150 this season. I don’t take it as a given that a successful WBB coach will automatically leave lik...

Re: Stockton Announces Retirement

???? No one will “likely” match her NCAA tournament berths????

On what basis is that record safe? We are not talking about winning NCs like Saban at Alabama.

There are alot of MBB and WBB programs that make NCAAs the majority of time. Why not Tulane women?

Congrats. She and Fritz did best jobs of Tulane coaches I recall in supporting the overall athletic program.

I thank her for her work at Tulane. Hopefully she can still be associated with TU in some fashion. But if she prefers full retirement, go for it

Re: WAVE vs LONGHORNS playoffs

Playoff game against an SEC team would actually be attendable for many of us versus say a B1G opponent.

Hoping CFP requires 10,000 to 15,000 seats available to visitors and not typical 3,000 or so provided for regular season games

Hunter says team was unlucky with injuries and in effect worn out by China trip James says it was too many streaks of bad playing. Zip from Hunter about his system. Why change? Tulane will be real “good” next season. No surprise. Let’s hope Sumrall hits it big. https://www.nola.com/sports/tulane/wha...

Re: Tulane 5.5 point underdogs to UNT tmrw at 7pm est

No questioning Tulane’s effort. They were simply outplayed and outcoached tonight. Props especially to James with 28 points and no turnovers. I will miss him. I wish Cross and Forbes well going forward. Maybe they end up playing in Europe. Hopefully for Forbes, a change in scenery will reignite his ...

Re: Tulane 5.5 point underdogs to UNT tmrw at 7pm est

I doubt arena will have 1000 butts in seats. Maybe not even 500 and that includes cheerleaders and bands. Resale tickets on line are being massively discounted at $5. No knock on anyone. This is standard for an opening round of 12 tourney game especially with UNT/k-12 being on spring break and any D...

Students are in Galveston or parts unknown. Spring Break. They won’t be in Ft Worth. Denton is 35+ miles from the game site. Tip off is at 6pm on a work day if they are not enjoying Spring Break with school age kids elsewhere. Driving that distance in rush hour could take 90 minutes or more through ...

I was surprised TP hasn’t provided more print coverage about this. I doubt it’s a guerry issue. It must be an editor decision. If it’s a budget issue that’s obviously not a good sign. Let’s see if Guerry covers AAC MBB tourney in person or by zoom. That will be the tell if editor is balancing budget...

A little messy at end but onto Round 3!

Stockton knows to pull the inside straight and win five, she must use her bench. Good game management.

Solid interview. Some AD speak. But Ed didn’t ask the hardest questions specifically either.

Glad Harris is interacting with local media. Obviously Dannen did little of that his last few years at Tulane

If Uhlman has a winnng record this year, why shouldn’t he keep his job? (Based on record to date and remaining schedule, finishing >.500 is definitely doable.)

At moment we have two literal bottom feeder programs in MBB and WBB. They demand attention now.

OSU still has to finalize TV rights. (Correct?). PAC 12 had regular Friday night games. Maybe OU-OSU is slotted there?

Meanwhile OU hated Fox slotting them in 11am kickoffs in boiling September sun. Easily happen in our game on ESPN but I’m sure Oklahoma will lobby against it.

Re: MBB 73 FAU 79

As Pete reminds us, Tulane played matchup zone while trailing with two minutes left allowing FAU to run an extra 20 seconds off clock relatively unpressed.

It’s this lack of situational awareness in Hunterball that is one of its regularly ineffective features. Makes it that much harder to catch up

Cook is obviously a talented player. But he is very high maintenance and very into hero basketball. He has always spelled team with four “I’s.” So a prolonged slump and moving into the doghouse isn’t surprising if his performance is off.
