Re: New AAC Commissioner on Men's Hoops

I'm not sure I understand the apparent push to join a soon-to-be-defunct conference. Been there, done that (Big East). Are you kidding? Do you think we'd be anywhere close to what we are now if we'd stayed in CUSA? Do you remember how bad CUSA was when we left? We would be bottom 10 in FBS almost f...

Re: New AAC Commissioner on Men's Hoops

From the chat I've had with Elliott's dad on Twitter (we played against each other back in the day), I get the impression Elliott will be back. Glenn and Daniels have tweeted excitedly about returning (though both before those others announced they were leaving). Knowing he is a lame duck, Harris pr...

1985 Tulane Football recruiting video

This was posted on YouTube a while ago but I don't think anyone has shared it here. I just had it suggested and it's a fascinating watch... It's a "promotional video" for Tulane football in 1985 under their energetic young coach, Mack Brown. I would lay money that this was a video put toge...

Re: 24/25 Men’s Basketball recruiting

We know Pete can grab some rebounds too. Hunter doesn't want rebounding. Luckily I have three-point range so maybe there's a place for me. If Daniels and Glenn stay and start, Hunter may have his tallest lineup at Tulane sinc he arrived. Ironic, eh? Can't wait to see Hunter rotating them beca...

That said, I'm content with everyone ignoring those of us who are in GenX.
I mean, we're kinda used to it....
Being ignored has kinda been our thing for... half a century or so.

Re: Fear the Wave announces new structure

Withold your donations to the school if you want to "see" something. Not donating to FTW is not the point you think you're making. Withholding donations to the school will help people see the opposite of what they claim they want to see. I truly wonder how many people give annually to Tul...

Re: I guess we all have a price. Fear The Wave Collective Defection.

We talking $85k or are we talking $300k? I am curious the dollars these recently created positions demand. I don't have any idea of actual numbers but my understanding coupled with some of my own math is Houston is paying him more than your high and Tulane offered him less than your low. So that gi...

Re: I guess we all have a price. Fear The Wave Collective Defection.

so, who is going to Houston exactly? Kelly Comarda, founder of FTW, former Tulane baseball player, bled green and blue. He was doing FTW for free. Willie offered him a big check, he stalled and gave Tulane every chance to even offer him a fraction of what Houston offered. Tulane offered a fraction ...

Re: Competition for "most hated" Kim Mulkey v Angel Reese

Well I saw an AP News headline that Reese declared for the WNBA draft via a Vogue magazine photo shoot, because she "didn't want to be basic". So that's a perfectly comical ending to her LSU career. I don't know that it's comical so much as smart on her part; she knows that her future ear...

Done. Good hire. Why do I think Dannen lobbied for the job? Why would Dannen want to be the captain of a sinking ship? Dannen spent about a decade having the limitations and restrictions of being a G5 slapping him in the face daily (not to mention being on committees with loads of P5 blowhards and ...

Re: Indoor Practice Facility: Delay Cannot Be Money. Is it just logistics?

By the way, if you want to play on Google maps with approximate size of an IPF and APC, look at the space at University of Cincinnati listed as "Sheakley Athletic Complex" (next to their baseball stadium). That's where theirs is being built. It was recently updated in the web version of Ma...

And Hailey Van Lith was not the top player in college hoops. That title goes to the one that sent LSU packing.

LSU isn't becoming UConn. Too much drama. If any place could become the next UConn, it would be South Carolina.

On a side note, there are days I wonder if I would have been better off learning a trade or other necessary skill. But then there are days when it’s 95 degrees outside or poring rain and I am happy to need a light jacket because of the a/c in my office! The irony being, of course, that the air cond...

BSC indicated in their public announcement that they'd be working with numerous universities to set up the current students to continue. I know Huntingdon College (another religious-based small private school, in Montgomery, AL) has offered to help, I saw a social media post to that effect.

At least Bobby Knight was often funny. I haven't watched the evening national news in years but tonight we had big storms here so I had the TV on, and when they cleared, it went straight to the news in progress. They were doing a big story on how apparently people are calling LSU out for being in th...

There could be a very legitimate reason the rumor could have been out a while ago. Hey Trout, changing the entire first post and topic to Langford in place of the Kennedy talk makes this thread confusing and also would lead people to the wrong conclusions about many posts after the OP. For instance, ml's very next post was about Kennedy but now appears to be about Langford. You pr...

Panoam was a highly rated recruit. Ridiculous we never got to see him play. Well, ya know, it takes more than a year to learn how to play one defense all the time. What are the odds this new 4 star hs recruit from Louisiana isn’t going to see any playing time and then will transfer when we fire Hun...

Roller, are you aware of the huge glitch the site is having (or does jts know)? It can't be accessed from phones, only PCs and tablets (and some apparently can't even get on those ways).
