Re: Right on cue....

That victory over Louisville was meaningful at the time, because we beat “the h.ll” out of Louisville and the feeling was we were off the bubble and into the Big Dance. It was Lawrence “Jody” Nelson’s best game in a Tulane uniform. Unfortunately Cory Childs hurt his knee in the game. He had been for...

I saw a note that Tulane was involved with a transfer QB from Furman, but that could be old news.

Re: Darryl Moreau

Tulane also beat a good Rutgers team with Roy Hinson on the road. Tulane had some bad losses that year, as Tulane’s slow down offense kept a lot of games close. Of course we could not beat powerful Louisville, the best team in the Metro Conference. Tulane beat Memphis twice and finished second to Lo...

Re: Darryl Moreau

One week before Moreau’s game winning shot against Memphis, Tulane beat #4 ranked Memphis on the road by 2 points. They were ranked #9 the following week when Tulane beat them in Fogleman. Tulane fans spontaneously stormed the court after the Moreau buzzer beater. Tulane’s next game was on the road ...

Darryl Moreau

I had the pleasure of running into Former Tulane Hoops PG Darryl Moreau at an empty Camellia Grill before last night’s win over Rice. We ate supper together and chatted for about 45 minutes. He is doing well and is in business with his son developing and selling sports medical equipment. He lives mo...

Re: 2024 Football Recruiting Info

I don’t really follow football recruiting much, but I understand Tulane has offered a transfer quarterback from Campbell named Williams. If this is old information, please disregard it.

Re: Hoops W over Fordham 89-81

Forbes had a difficult first half, but came through big down the stretch in the second half, including a run of 6 points in a row to stretch the lead out.

Kam Williams should be able to contribute right away. He was Tulane’s top priority in high school recruiting. Congratulations to Kam Williams and the Tulane basketball staff.

Re: Men’s Basketball- Tulane vs Nicholls, Tulane vs Northwestern State

KenPom preseason ratings don’t mean much. If both teams stay healthy, Northwestern State on paper should be better. It is hard to evaluate teams with so many new players, even for recruiting junkies like me.

Men’s Basketball- Tulane vs Nicholls, Tulane vs Northwestern State

Both Nicholls and Northwestern State have restocked their rosters with transfers and JC players which makes them hard to evaluate. On paper Northwestern State seems to be the much stronger opponent. Both schools have first year head coaches. Tonight’s opponent, Nicholls, has their starting PG Micah ...

Perry Clark (Tulane) vs Bobby Knight (Indiana)

In 1992 Tulane played Indiana at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. This was Tulane’s 2nd game of the season, and although Tulane lost by 10 points, the game was not that close. This was the game Kim Lewis broke his leg in the first half, and was finished for the season. Tulane went on to get to the NCAA...

Re: WAVE WIN

Tulane has played men’s exhibition basketball games for many years. I remember we used to play Athletes in Action, and they were really good. I think they were a Christian team filled with ex-college players. They would go around the country and soundly beat a lot of the top programs. We also used t...

Re: WAVE WIN

Forbes looked like he pulled his hamstring - He did not play in the second half. Kevin Cross looked banged up and did not play the last 17 minutes. Hopefully neither of the injuries are serious, but I fear that Forbes could be out awhile.
