I hope he does well for Samford. I wish he had kept his eye on the ball while here, he'd have helped out every team he wasn't on (2012 through last year) in a big way.

I watch that video and think what carnage would occur should that bar snap, or the clamps that hold the weight on the bar fail.... I wonder what the bar is rated to hold, because it's certainly bending!

/yeah, I'm an engineer

Even more cringeworthy, I wonder about the guy's arms snapping. I am sure it has happened (but don't want to see it on YouTube).

Remember the "steroid Olympics" SNL sketch where the guy's arms ripped off at the shoulder?

There's a gruesome youtube-ish video that made the circuits on sports yak shows recently showing an arm wrestler getting his arm very broken. It's always a risk with heavy weight/resistance; your form had better be right.

...and no, I'm not linking to the video. Once was enough; if you're really curious, google can find it for you.

Yeah, yeah, rub it in.... :evil2:
(for others who might be curious, many of the newer - and typically most-awesome - roller coasters being created today have height MAXIMUMS which are less than my height, meaning I will never be able to ride them.... grrrrrr.....)

Saw "Michael Pierce could take over as Ravens starting DT" and thought "can't be the same Michael Pierce." I was wrong!
