Makes 53 man roster for Tampa Bay as the #3 QB. Season 4 in the NFL for him

Watched a replay of Tampa Bay vs Washington this morning. Late in the game in a driving rain Ryan led two scoring drives throwing completion after completion to guys about to be cut. The talking heads were beside themselves with praise for him. The Saints gave wasted a third rounder trying to replace him.

All well and good, and would have loved for RG4 to be #2 in NOLA, but he couldn't overcome Luke Friggin McCown (and neither can GG) and he wasn't going to play for the next 2-3 years anyway. And apparently can't overcome Glennon in Tampa either. He will be a journeyman backup which has been a successful career for many a QB (Kubiak, Reich, Daniel, etc.) but won't likely see the field save for a disaster on the team he plays.

Griff has had some bad breaks. He was clearly better than Grayson but the Saints had to wait a year before declaring an obvious failure an obvious failure. He could be better than Glennon for all I know but TB might want to preserve the image of Glennon as a possible trade chip.

I used to be more down on McCown until I saw him play. He's actually a pretty good backup.
