Whereas Tanner Lee does not (same article but we covered Tanner elsewhere already).

I didn’t realize he was invited. He certainly has the tools to be a good pro if he can ever figure out the game. Are their any other players there? I have seen Nickerson and Franklin mentioned as possible draft picks. Nickerson will almost certainly make a roster. Hilliard should also make a roster, but I wonder if he has enough speed for the NFL.

Aruna also had the highest DL vertical and longest DL broad jump (5th highest vert and 4th longest broad including LBs and "edge" rushers).

Nice! At the top of a very long piece. If Loomis is smart, Aruna doesn't leave the city!

I wrote elsewhere that some Saints fans were hoping the Saints would use a late round pick and draft him.

From NFL.com assessment of Vikings draft: "Aruna is raw, but long and athletic, and has huge upside as a pass rusher."

Let's hope so. Aruna may be the flip side of elite American football players who pick up rugby in their late teens or early 20's after college football. On paper you would think they could be elite world class ruggers too but it's rarely so. They just never seem to catch up with those who started rugby at age five even though the Americans may be faster, larger and even quicker. It's simply the cumulative benefits of "instincts" developed from a lifetime exposure to the game.

Aruna started playing football about age 15 and it may have been his first exposure to the sport period even as a spectator. I'm rooting for his development to catch up with his talent.
