Word from the Rice board is that they have selected a new head coach, but that it won't be announced yet, as his #1 assistant is still on a team playing in Supers/CWS. Some one else said that assistant is Gautreau. Is Rice is about give Andy Cannizarro his second chance?!

There is no way a "fine, upstanding" school like Rice hires a guy who just had a scandal bad enough to get him fired from an SEC school.

He was an assistant at Louisville and I noticed you failed to tick off his post seasons with IU. Underwhelming if you say so, but I think a solid hire, but in the grand scheme of things don't care.

Mind boggling. Henderson is a helluva coach. Turned Kentucky around. Looks like a Rich Rodriguez situation. And I don’t think Henderson would have had any affairs to worry about.

As someone who roots for Mississippi State when they're not playing Tulane, I am feel almost exactly like I did when Scelfo was hired over RichRod. Horrible decision IMHO.
