Dominik Koepfer

Post by Charlie Dunn »

Tulane alum Koepfer was up 2 sets to 1 in the final round of qualifying at Wimbledon today but lost 7-5 in the 5th set. He was just points away from qualifying. So close. Koepfer did win his first 2 qualifying matches and barely lost to a fellow who was ranked 75 places above him, so not a bad week in England for him. Hopefully, this will motivate him to work harder to get another shot at the main draw in a major. Congrats Dominik!

Dominik will open his Wimbledon experience on Day 2 against Serbian Filip Krajinovic. Should he win, he will face the winner of American Taylor Fritz and former world #4 and Wimbledon Finalist (2010) Tomas Berdych from Czechia.

Actually, if he wins he would face the winner of Ebden/Schwartzman
After that, most likely Coric. If he can win those 3 matches, he would most likely face Federer in the Quarters.

Thanks for the correction. I looked at Googles listing which clearly isn't in the same order as the bracket
