Advanced to next round in French Open beating 30th ranked Taylor Fritz. Clay is good for him. He's into the top 50 in the world now.

He gets #8 seed Roger Federer in the third round. Clay is Federer’s worst surface and he is coming off two knee surgeries, but it is still a big hill for Koepfer to climb.

A win over Federer, even at his age, would be an incredible achievement. He can tell his kids and grandkids he beat maybe the greatest tennis player of all time.

Koepfer loses to Federer 7-5 in the fourth set in a hard fought match. The first 3 sets went to tiebreakers.

Roger Federer just withdrew from the French Open because of health issues. A tough break for Dominik Koepfer.

If only had withdrawn a round earlier.

Winning 2 sets to 1 (either ESPN had the box score wrong or I misread it). Just won opening game of 4th set

Koepfer loses in singles and doubles. In singles he lost in straight sets to #8 seed R Bautista Agut. Still a good tournament for Koepfer.
