Carlin Hartman to UNLV

Post by PeteRasche »

After Lon Kruger announced his retirement, it left Carlin Hartman (their top assistant) without a job. Happy to say he has quickly landed as an assistant under Kruger's son at his new gig at UNLV.

Hartman's name has been climbing the ranks of assistants likely to get a head job soon and he did interview at Tulane when we hired Hunter. Keep an eye on him.

Always thought he was one of the toughest players on a fun team. Never seemed the most talented, but always found a way to contribute.

I keep waiting for Carlin to land a head coaching gig; hopefully soon.

If not for the unexpected retirement of Kruger, his next gig after Oklahoma would have been. It shouldn't be long.

He's due and will do well with it, I think.
