Great news! We have a stud RB coming in this weekend. He looks like a franchise RB . Keeping my fingers crossed.

hahaha

you got me while i was at walmart man!

I also thought that the reason i did the recruiting sticky was b/c conversations were always lost among everything else - now that we have our very own specific place for recruiting - no need to keep that 71 pages going... I mean I will update it and still post information there until this class 2010 wraps up and start another one for next year - but BIG NEWS needs to be identified with its own topic and the add it to the Big one as we go

Sorry Krewe - If i had the power i wanted to put your breaking news by itself since you saw it first

I knew you would mess with me about that-- dawg gon shame we didnt get to hang out yet!

Tulane football elicits 19th commitment
By Tammy Nunez, The Times-Picayune
January 15, 2010, 8:10PM

Tulane lost kicker commitment Cody Mandell from Acadiana recently, but snagged its 19th commitment from a pass rush defensive end in 6-feet-3, 210-pound Wendell Beckwith. Beckwith is a Clinton native who tallied over 80 tackles and close to 20 sacks for Clinton High. He bolstered a graduate-depleted end spot for the Green Wave. Tulane lost its starting ends Logan Kelley and Adam Kwentua and were looking to add to the defensive side. In other news, safety Jordan Garrett left the school because of grades.

The Green Wave has six more scholarships to give before signing day in February and is likely concentrating on bolstering the defensive ranks, adding some insurance at running back and signing kickers

Beckwith is a major sleeper on the recruiting trail. Lacks ideal size for the position and his tweener outside linebacker/defensive end status may be leading to his under-the-radar recruitment. Projects to be a weakside end in a 4-3 scheme with continued physical development. Has a tall, long frame that is...

I guess wearing my green 24/7 in my new home town, produced more than laughs and snickers. I'll have to walk over to the gossip store and run a few KMA'S up the flag pole.

looks like he's put on some weight, most sites have him listed at 210

gotta love the 17.5 sacks. when you combine his sacks numbers from this past season with Welcome and Dobbs you get over 40
