Conroy was just hired by Tulane of Conference-USA, and Nesbit believes Tulane will likely offer a scholarship to Brown. If that happens, Brown will probably choose Tulane, according to Nesbit.

“(Brown) wants to go to law school and Tulane has a really high academic reputation,” Nesbit said. “It’s Conference USA, and (Brown) had a very good experience with Coach Conroy at the Citadel. Everybody else (recruiting Brown) would be up against a lot to match that.”

while that's not the sort of recruit we want to see when things get rolling, it's not such a bad pickup, if it happens. We're going to have a makeshift roster next year. We need another 3 to go with Mayhane. If we take this guy, we've added someone who will be off the roster in two years, enabling Conroy and staff to build towards year 3. That bites, by the way, but it's what we've got

What about JCs?
Can we take them?
They could help stabilize us.

I really hope Coach can keep Brookins from the fall and Timmons. That's better talent than what we're likely to find available at this late date.

I think those ships have sailed. This kid is pretty much a JC recruit but one who has a good bit of D-1 experience.

John Brown chose Liberty this week, a decision that Nesbit said was made “98 percent” by Brown’s parents.
