Mike Mutz tweeted about a Mobile kid. He can't go any further than that; in fact he didn't say he was from around Mobile. There are also several younger kids coming in to this camp.

the only one of these guys that I'd never heard of before is Jordan Cordova of Kinder (somewhere NE of Lake Charles...Gateway to Basile!). I really like his film, too. Not big but rangy and quick. He has an offer from ULM. I also really like Oubre's hudl. He's got more of a inside linebacker build and he's also a good baseball player. I doubt we can take more than two LB's in this class if that many.

I think Tyrus Wheat is close to pulling the trigger. He'd be a nice pickup as a SS/OLB. I like Cordova...don't love him. His father was on CJ's staff (Wayne Cordova). I feel the same way about Oubre. Jorien Vallien is a good football player who fits the mold of what we want (big frame, has the ability to go up and get it, will be better blocker when he fills out to 200 lbs plus).

Tyrus Wheat has that size that is so appealing in a DB and Jorien Vallien has some eye popping offers.

I think Wheat is more of a college linebacker. If his size is appealing as a safety then his quickness must be appealing as a linebacker. He reminds me of Kenny Hebert, who was a safety who became a linebacker. I think Wheat is a better athlete than Hebert.

A faster Kenny Hebert is a REALLY good comp for Wheat. He's playable at SS but he could be a real difference maker at OLB.

What about the OL from Ascension Episcopal - Michael Remondet ? Looks quick, good mobility and will only add lbs to his 6'4" frame.

re:Remondet I liked his stuff. He plays every snap, can run, and has a nice frame. Do I think he's somebody this staff has to pounce on now? I'm not sure about that. Vallien for sure is that kind of player, Wheat may be, too.

It started late due to weather in the afternoon. I'm sure it went fine. We didn't get any immediate commitments last year. It took over a week until Huderson announced.

Will Guillory and Amos Morale took some videos, and I see we made a few offers to some campers.

Darion Monroe's lil bro was there too, he made some hellacious DB plays.

Mostly underclassmen so far. Lynarise Elpheage's SON was there, too. Freshman this fall I think.

Yes he's a freshman at Carver. I'd take another Elpheage if he's as athletic as his dad. Considering he came back to get his degree, he may pursuance Jr to follow in his footsteps.

Does anyone know who some of the non-Louisiana guys attending were, particularly those who could sign for 2018?

ED White HS in Thibodaux. Short at 5-9 but fast. Check his hudl, it's really good for a rising junior.

We also offered A 2018 RB. Name escapes me.

Will Guillory had a couple videos of Legendre on Twitter. He picked up a Tulane offer after the camp.

Standouts from Tulane's Prospect Camp
http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ss ... river_home
Not only was Legendre the fastest man at the event, clocking a 4.43 and beating other top times in the fastest man race, but he also proved to be the most difficult cover for defenders as well. LeGendre plays quarterback for his high school team, but he has a surprising skillset in the passing game for a guy that does not get a lot of doing doing it. He blew by defenders rep after rep, and was our top performer at the event.

Another camper to mention is Javon Antonio of East St John. He's getting more "projections" at WR these days but he could grow into a TE or play defense. He's a 2018 guy who reports an offer from Purdue.

Watch E.D. White 2019 athlete Brandon Legendre earn title of fastest man at Tulane's camp

http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ss ... iver_index

sounds like Legendre had a breakout Camp. Would love to sign him.
