This one surprised me. When Sorrell Brown committed I figured it was because Vallien or someone like him had crossed us off his list. I guess not.

Maybe once Encalade graduates, but we are set at the 1 & 2 IMHO. Mooney showed me a ton over the last 4 games. Maybe Clewis is the odd man out, but you need 4 quality WRs on the roster in any event. Hopefully, he'll turn out to be a #1 in a couple of years.

I don't know that I'd go that far. A real #1 receiver is someone like Miller at Memphis or Sutton at SMU. Terren and Darnell showed that they are winning players and that's progress. I think next year Robertson gets a bigger role and one of the redshirts (Tucker, Ledee) expands the rotation as well. If both Vallien and Brown sign here I think someone on the roster moves on.

FWIW Miss State was the highest ranked team to offer Vallien. He then commits to Tulane the day Miss state's coach announces he is leaving. I can't help but wonder if that is more than a coincidence.

At the time of Mullen's departure they had five WR's committed, plus a couple of athlete recruits who could wind up there. IMO, only very few MSU commits will wind up getting offered by Florida, even by Mullen in his transition year.
