i think where we can score is with 3 star guys that think our coach is their ticket to the NBA. all of these high school players think they are the best thing since sliced bread and are looking to play pro, if they think our coach can help them improve, that should be our strongest selling point. Frazier helps that cause quite a bit. I am sure our assistants are going to playing that up big time

he's had the "Most Improved Player" award two years straight and he turned Frazier into a potential NBA First Round pick. That is a compelling narrative when you visit a recruit.

It is for 3 and maybe 4 star guys who are not completely confident in their abilities. It's not going to play with high 4, or 5 star guys, who already know they're going to be a first round pick without MD's help. We likely aren't getting those guys until we win something and can show we might contend for a national title in their one year with us.

I agree Pete. Right now we're just not going to get a 5 Star/High 4 Star guy. A kid likes that wants a platform to show off his skills to potential teams. That means a marquee Program with very high media exposure and a trip deep into the Tournament.

but as you say we can win with the right 3, occasional 4 Star players.

Though I've seen something on Facebook which may bode well for something in the future. It's pure speculation and I have no real knowledge but if it happens, I'll be sure to revisit...

Like Washington and LSU?

How much would pay for a one and done guy that didn't win and ended up dating a Jenner?

Yeah, I don't think that expectations of a deep run in the tournament really matters that much. Collin Sexton signed with Alabama last year, Bamba with Texas, Robinson with WKU (though obviously some circumstances there). Sure your Dukes and Kentuckys are going to get all the top guys but it's primarily because of the coaching, development, exposure, etc. Tournament success is just a byproduct.
