Matthew Cleveland, 6-6 4-star forward has praise for Tulane

Post by randymc »

go to the 12-minute mark of this video interview with 6-6 SF Matthew Cleveland of Alpharetta, Ga., and he talks of Tulane, Stanford and NC State as the 3 schools that stand out from his campus visits so far. Says he really likes the coaches at those schools, and academics (he plans to go to law school eventually) are very important along with basketball wherever he goes to college.

Randy, Thanks for doing the homework. The young man has tens of offers from solid schools with the only published miss to date being KY.
Being from Atlanta area, Hunter has probably been recruiting him since he was ten. However again for Cleveland to publicly acknowledge his interest in Tulane is a very positive and refreshing change in the effectiveness of our MBB recruiting.

and he comes across as such a thoughtful, articulate guy in this interview. He'd be an excellent addition to the hoops team and Tulane's campus overall.

Why? I don't have time to watch the video, what am I missing that brought up my name?

Well, I just thought of you, a bonafide Tulane MBB HOFer, with a law degree unless I remember incorrectly. Seems like someone Coach Hunter might want to Zoom with the kid. :-D
