Not sure of your math there...plus the unrated players will wind up being 2 stars at minimum.tjtlja wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 10:41 pm Zy Ford, a 3 star LB from Mississippi who we offered has committed to La Tech. I really like the class they are putting together.
It should be noted we have one of the lowest average per player rankings in the country. 13 commitments with 7 3–star, 3 2-star, and 3 unrated computes to a 1.92 average per player. Most of the 3-star commits are low 3-star guys. Not a stat we like to see. I wonder how many more players we will take. You would think we will leave 5-7 spots open for transfers.
Ja’Kavion Nonar, a OT we offered who was committed to Pittsburgh has decommitted. Future Cast has him going to the Gators.

Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
More than that we have a history of offering and getting commitments from guys early who either blow up during their senior year (unfortunately some of whom we then lost), or who we retract the offer from later and replace with a higher rated guy.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Just reporting the current rankings on Rivals and their system of calculating a teams overall average per player. I will report the recalculated numbers as we add recruits, or when Rivals adjust individual player rankings.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Jacoby Kelly, a WR we offered from Los Angeles has committed to San Diego State.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Has anyone seen Braydon Johnson play from Ponchatoula? I have heard some really good reports on him. Some say he is the biggest sleeper in the state. We are his only offer.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
J’Mond Tapp from Donaldsonville has committed to Texas.
Jacob Hood from Nashville committed to Georgia.
Jimmy Liston, an OL from Nashville committed to Purdue.
Jackson Brown, an OT from California, committed to Cal.

Multiple players have tweeted they have received Tulane offers in the past two days. I'd be curious to hear if they are highly-recruited kids and we're "striking while the iron is hot".
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Danny Lewis, a TE from New Iberia, has committed to Cincinnati.
Jaylin Lucas is now listed as a RB on Rivals.
Maurice Turner, an ATH from Georgia, has committed to Louisville.
Ashton Jeanty received an offer. He is a 5’9 WR from Frisco, TX. Rated 3 stars by 247 and not rated by Rivals. Offers include Boise State, Kansas, ULL, New Mexico, North Texas State, Air Force,Tulsa, Army, Navy, Dartmouth, Sam Houston,
New Mexico, and Pennsylvania
Who are the other recently received offers?

Jeanty was one I saw. I'd have to go find the others and it's hard on Twitter.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Coach Nagle tweeted a Roll Wave earlier today for the Krewe of 22.
Coach McCleskey just followed that up with a Let’s Geaux for the Krewe of 22.

Now better than later. We had the public's eye and performed well. Hope we get come commits out of it.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 8:54 pm Multiple players have tweeted they have received Tulane offers in the past two days. Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
It definitely was a jolt. Nothing but positive press all across the country. We came out and played liked warriors considering the circumstances.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
We have offered Chris Brazzell, a WR from Midland, TX, who is committed to FAU.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
With the TE’s lining up to play with Pratt and company, where are the WR’s? To date, we only have Jalen Rogers. Here is the list of WR’s we have offered who are still undecided -
AJ Johnson - West Palm Beach, 4 stars
Barion Brown - Nashville, 4 stars
Kody Finley - Ponchatoula, 3 stars
Zavion Thomas - Marrero, 3 stars
Zyion Claville - Shreveport, 3 stars
TJ Johnson - Alexandria, 3 stars
Tommy Winton - Knoxville, 3 stars
Mudia Reuben - Kansas City, 3 stars
Jace Wilson - Denton, TX
Chris Brazzell - Midland, TX, 2 stars
Ben Coggin - Nolensville, TN, not rated
Joseph Miller - New Orleans, not rated
Marcus Sanders - Montezuma, GA, not rated
Ashton Jeanty - Frisco, TX, not rated
With the exception of Brazzell and Jeanty, the others listed have been offered for some time. I guess the staff pretty much knows the others offered are heading elsewhere or we may no longer be interested, thus the latest offers. Interestingly, we offered 25 other WR’s in this cycle who have already committed elsewhere.

Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
It's possible we may be in the lead for some of these guys but they just haven't decided to commit. I imagine some think playing it close to the vest lets new schools look more closely, whereas some may think the opposite, that committing early shows other schools they are worth taking or perhaps drives competitiveness to attempt to flip them. Who knows. But if our offense continues to play as it has for two games, I'm confident we'll sign some good receivers.

Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Tulane being left behind will cause some of the offered recruits to look elsewhere. Whether the power conferences acknowledge this or not, pre-expansion AAC was viewed as a great conference with many competitive, top teams by many, including recruits. I’m sure Tulane is going to be impacted by the departures but it’s all about winning. Watch how many eyeballs will be on us if we beat Ole Miss. heck, even this throwback helmet design is making waves on social media and has gone national.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 3:35 pm It's possible we may be in the lead for some of these guys but they just haven't decided to commit. Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
if we continue to have guy drafted every year, it also cannot hurt.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
We will continue to attract high quality guys because WF, Michael Pratt, and we win.
Re: Krewe of 2022 - Football Recruiting
Pete, I agree with you. The way I said it didn’t quite add up to what you added.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 3:35 pm It's possible we may be in the lead for some of these guys but they just haven't decided to commit. We've offered Lamar o-lineman (and St Aug alum) Bless Harris a scholarship. Currently a junior academically. Would have two years of eligibility for next year. 2 star out of high school.

Harris played some tackle for Lamar and ours is one of several FBS offers.
