Another reminder about why WF is the awesomest Tulane coach ever. Someone who knows what it's like to sweep the locker room after the last PE class of the day and why he just hired a guy with a Hall resume and not a Canada one. He's always with the hungry (and, yes, affordable) underdog.

I assume we will see a solid turnout from the football team to make the coach look good. We should too.

College of Charleston. 7pm. Saturday. Devlin.

When I worked for GE under Jack Welch I wasn’t one of his clapping seal sycophants. However on thing I will say is that Jack loved to tap that working class underdog ethos. His degree was from UMass and he loved to hire people from working class backgrounds who made it through hard work; first in their family to college types. Chip on their shoulder types. He’d take a first gen overachiever from a second tier school over a legacy Princetonian 9 times out of 10. I think there’s something to it.

So how does the Final Four work in this tournament? Is there a neutral site for the final?

Charleston took done Clemson, 3-0. Should be a formidable opponent. Hope folks take advantage of CWF's offer and pack the house. Great move. Thanks Coach.

Not neutral. Location tba after semis. Last night at the game I was told it is largely based on attendance figures from the previous round.

Is this the WVB equivalent of the NCAAs or the NIT for MBB? Or just a regular tourney?

which increases the brilliance of Coach Fritz buying out Devlin... here's one team's coach trying to get a "home field" advantage for one of his peers.

Quarterfinal attendance: Iowa State: 706, Tulane 770.
Wonder if they go by gate or sold

Iowa State usually averages 2000 a match so that’s a strange number for them. Probably because they are use to being in the ncaa. Interesting they play UNLV coached by Iowa State’s former long time assistant. Will likely have a big crowd for that.
Devlin can seat 3000. LET’S GO!
