Sports Talk radio and most sports message boards are the killing fields of intellectual discourse.

Thumbs up. I really like these helmet designs. The white looks as good as the dark green.

Relax, there's no visitor in a bowl game (well, technically we both are). The only thing this would maybe affect is who gets to call the coin flip.

They had a better record than we did. If we wanted to be "home", we should have won more games. Of course, then we'd have been in a different bowl entirely.

I don’t think that’s how it works.

I mean filled in with blue or at least green. It is a white wave on a white helmet.

I'm an idiot; I didn't see the helmet before I commented. I agree with you. Mea culpa.

Doesn't REALLY matter to me either what color we wear. What matters is coming home with a W and a .538 winning percentage for the year. Roll Wave...beat the Cajuns.

Not really. Sometimes we have arguments and sometimes we have conversations. This topic is a conversation.

Who bleached the color out of the uniforms and helmet? Thumbs mostly down on this one. How about the interlocking TU on the helmet?

You do know we wear white at every road game and the uniforms are the same whites we've worn several times already, right? The helmet is new but arguably has barely less color than the old white with interlocking TU for which you pine.

And while we're at it, give everyone who sustains a concussion a whiff of smelling salts and send 'em back out there. Blown knee? Get a cortisone shot and get back out there. Ah, the good old independent days of the 1970s...
For those of us under 50, we brought those ugly things back once in the past 30 years (2017 homecoming) and played one of our worst games under Fritz, a should-have-been easy win which cost us a bowl last year. So if you have an ounce of superstition, you'll let the interlocking TU helmets rest in peace with happy memories of wins over LSU from days gone by.
