Tulane Football Standout Jeremy Williams Receives Invitations from Senior Bowl, East-West Shrine Game

Green Wave seniors has amassed 1,555 All-Purpose Yards this season

New Orleans – Tulane University senior Jeremy Williams has received invitations to play in both the Under Armour Senior Bowl and the East-West Shrine Game head football coach Bob Toledo announced today.



The 61st Annual Senior Bowl, taking place on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in Mobile, Alabama, while the 85th Annual East-West Shrine Game will take place on January 23, 2010 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.



Williams, a 6’1’, 205-pound flanker/kickoff returner from Baytown, Texas, has amassed 1,555 all-purpose yards through 10 games this season, including 156 rushing yards, 992 receiving yards and 407 kick-off return yards. He has five touchdown receptions and one score on an 88-yard kickoff return against UTEP. Williams is averaging 155.5 all-purpose yards per outing, which ranks fifth among Conference USA players and is 16th nationally.

Nice honor and well-deserved. Hope he picks the Senior Bowl and look forward to seeing how he does in practice.

Congrats to Jeremy.

I have a lot of admiration/respect for his achievements on the football field over the last 4 years. I think the most impressive part is that he assembled all of his numbers with no consistent starter at QB. He never had the opportunity to get a rhythm going with one particular QB for a complete season+.

I would imagine that he is going to do both. He's the kind of guy who is going to have to keep getting out there against as many draft worthy corners as possible to prove that he is indeed worthy of a 2nd-3rd round draft pick.
