Greenies improve to 25-14, 6-4 behind HRs from Segedin, Crohan, Wright, Pippin and Cannizaro.

Zizinia and Doiron could really help this team down the stretch. Good win.

I like how things are developing. Rice is turning into a clear #1 and ECU is imploding. Tulane should be able to sliiiiiiide right into 2nd place and make the tourney

I missed TG’s description of Seggy’s blast, but this is from the Memphis site- “Rob Segedin drove a no-doubter into the trees beyond the leftfield wall.”

If I remember correctly it was such a no doubter that Graff didn't get terribly excited about it, possibly because he feared it would be a foul ball.

Speaking of Seggy, I asked Kendall Rodgers from Rivals the following yesterday during a chat session.......

Hi Kendall, I am curious as to where you see Tulane's Rob Segedin going in the draft. ( I am assuming he is draft eligible as a Redshirt Sophmore). What are the odds he comes back?

Probably not very good.... It looks like he will be a definite top five round pick, maybe top three round pick.... He is having a fantastic season for the Green Wave.

I agree that it's not likely that we'll catch Rice for the regular season championship unless they fall apart on at least 2 weekends. But there is no reason we cannot win the Conference tournament and be the CUSA Champions for 2010, with an automatic playoff berth.

That said, the most important thing to do right now, is to keep winning game-by-game and let "down the road" become clear when we get there.
