Depending on the network the USF game will start at 6 or 6:30.

Hopefully equates to the largest student crowd we've seen in a while.

Either ESPN2 or ESPNU. (6 day window selection)

As mentioned elsewhere, attendance should be up for USF. It's doubtful to sell out because, while they've been ranked a while, USF isn't exactly a "must see" name, especially to students. But it should be the best we've had in a while.

If we beat FIU handily - which I expect - the Tulane marketing machine needs to be in full blown promotion mode. Blast everyone, especially students, with reminders that our only losses are to ranked teams (if Navy wins this weekend and stays ranked). Blast them with the scores of an offense that is finally clicking. Blast them with USF's ranking and the game being on national TV. And finally, remind them it's an evening game and they can tailgate all day and get wild.

I think it will be a very good game. Just hope it doesn't come down to a field goal to win or tie...

As awesome as that sounds if you only grab the fence sitters to one game this year why not Cincinnati?

Cincinnati is homecoming. It will be crowded already. Especially if we knock off either USF or Memphis and are playing for a bowl berth!

I concur. It'll be up to us older guys to do it as the students will be gone before the end. :green wink:

You jest, but
1) in Spain, we've made what we call "Basque Jambalaya", traditional jambalaya methods but Basque ingredients (Txistora, basque peppers, piment d'espelette, chicken). Its the best jambalaya I've ever made

2) at one point this fall we had legit plans to make legit paella at the Tulsa tailgate. But things fell through (namely, the money to buy a large, outdoor paella pan and flame)....and thank goodness they did because of the weather!

All of that said, Jumbalaya was just fat fingers. But I like some of y'all's suggestions for what it might be!

The thread is primarily about kickoff and tv time. That always gets started a week early, because it gets announced a week early.

I get your point. USF will be very tough, in fact it could be ugly. I don't expect it to be, bu tif the team goes 8-4 or 7-5 with but all the fence sitting locals remember is a two touchdown(likely spread) loss to USF I'm not sure that is going to help big picture attendance wise. Whereas if they come and see Tulane beat Cincinnati by a couple of TDs they will have a better taste in their mouth and more likely to cog to the Houston game.
