OGSB, I hope you don't mind that I moved it here. I did so because not only does it go into current news on two key players (DL Kennedy back, S Teamer out for Memphis game) but its a great read on Tanzel who still keeps up with what's going on. And Man, do we miss him!

God Bless Tanzel Smart but getting Robert Kennedy back is a serious boost. He can play inside and out. Welcome back, RK.

getting Kennedy back is big but how effective he'll be will depend on what kind of shape he's in.

And just in the nick of time with Washington out and Aruna still looking hobbled/slow to me. AA seemed a bit more active v SFU.

Rams just signed N. Suh to a $14M one year deal. With Donald and Easley also there, I would think Rams would be shopping Tanzel.

Why would they shop Smart? They're not paying him anything (probably at or close to the minimum), no reason not to keep him around for depth purposes if they like him.

Tanzel listed as the back up to Suh for this weekend. Does not appear to have played much this year though.

I think he was only active for two games and barely played. He's going to have a serious fight to make the roster next year. A change of scenery might do him some good. The Saints might need another 3 tech after Rankins' injury.

No, they only give rings to the winning team

Stinks for him, but now I can root for the Saints!

He'll get his NFC Championship ring and as long as the Rams d-line can put Brady on his back, he'll have a Superbowl ring.

We discussed this once before, but Tulanians with Super Bowl rings:

1. Max McGee
2. Warren Bankston
3. Eddie Murray
4. Shaun King
5. Mewelde Moore

Can anyone else think of any others? Did the two CBs on the Broncos get one in 2015?

Yes, Doss and Nixon were on the Broncos that year and received rings

Shaun didn't make the Super Bowl. The Bucs were victims of another questionable call in the last two minutes during a promising drive to score to take the lead against...guess who...the Rams. n/m

Doss most likely would've gotten one for Super Bowl 50 as he was on the Broncos official roster. Taurean Nixon was a practice squad player so I believe whether or not he got one is up to the team's discretion.

I thought you were joking, especially since you are from St. Pete, but this sure sounds like you are being serious.
