TUMB has successfully grown it's ranks to 111 students. Officially calling themselves the Uptown 100.

Nice.

Hey Greeniebacker, remember in the 70s when there were about 15 people in an ad hoc Tulane pep band and we were in awe of the St. Aug. Marching 100, or whatever they were called? :-)

That's good to hear. Nice to see that the growth is continuing.

Don’t love the re-branding, but love the numbers.

You can see the Uptown 100 in d’Etat, Bacchus, and Rex!

I personally hope it’s not an additional 20 baton twirlers. A loud Band Corp adds so much to the atmosphere at a football game. The students who now are in the band give a lot of their time to be involved and I Do appreciate. One day I would like to see Tulane’s band as big as Notre Dame’s band who by the way has the same number of undergraduates as Tulane does currently. Roll Wave

I got a text from a friend who saw the TUMB in the parade last night saying how impressed he was by them.

Sure was fun to watch them do the Tulane fight song at St. Charles & Washington during Rex.

I love the progress the TUMB has made.

If we could somehow get to 150 musicians, we would have a full sounding band.
100 is nice (and is a huge improvement) but it’s hard to fill the stadium with sound with that number.
