Yes he was, but Daniels walked before Reynolds got the ball which would have given the possession back to Tulsa. Terrible officiating on both sides. Lack of depth hurt. Tulane was dead having to play two walk ons in overtime.

Appropriate thread title. I try to never blame the refs, but this was really, really bad. I mean, it's not like the league office cares about Tulane and Tulsa playing a somewhat meaningless game in February, but if this same thing had happened between Cincinnati or Wichita State, there would be hell to pay.

We played fairly decently for not having 2 of our normal starting 5, being in foul trouble all night, and playing a bunch of guys who rarely see the floor. But it's painfully obvious we can't guard quick guards. Ajang was an utter liability on defense, they would just move it around the perimeter until he got switched onto the ball handler, and that guy would go right past him. With him drawn out, there was no inside help behind him, so it was too easy. Tulsa did the same thing against us at our place, just did it against our guards (mostly Ona Embo). Tonight they found an inexperienced freshman to pick on instead. And someone, anyone, please, when you are guarding a guy in the corner, don't let him go baseline on you. Please?

And Taplan took 3 steps on the last basket. Officiating was so inconsistent all night. For 39:58 if you breathed on somebody they called a foul. Last 2 seconds an arm to the mouth isn’t called.

One positive is some guys really stepped up. I thought Slater was terrific.

It's something you learn in grade school ... horrible refs - it just makes you sick. 'ReynoldsWasFouled'

Reynolds missing those 2 foul shots killed us. We desperately need big guys. I really like Sehic but he is the only quality big guy we have.

Yeah, Tulane definitely played some zone tonight. Foul shooting when it really counts -

Tulsa beat it handily. Ajang wasn't able to successfully defend the middle alone and our guards aren't quick enough to stop guys from driving the gaps. A bad combination.

When we went up 11 in the first we were playing zone for a good chunk of it

He is really, really, really raw. He plays so much smaller than his size.

Quietly lost in all of this was a nice job we did against their zone.

That was a really crap way to lose the game.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know if Tulane is selling those Mardi Gras warm up long sleeves? The white ones with the angry wave inside the mardi gras colors? I looked on the tulane site and didnt see any for sale.

Refs were atrocious. We were jobbed.

Cam has to make a fricking free throw at the end though. Come on.

Does anyone know anything about the 2018-2019 basketball schedule? I know Florida State comes to Fogelman next season, which will be awesome. Any news about pre-season tournaments or other future home-and-homes scheduled? Thanks.

The box out by the walk on to get that rebound against a much bigger guy in OT was textbook. I hope some of the scholarship guys took notice.

Pete, how are we going to fix this for next year with basically the same personnel less Reynolds and probably Frazier?

Also, how would you compare Slater to Ona Embo?

Maybe out west next year?

NBA no call walk on winning basket. Yikes on the FT shooting. You folks have summarized well the lack of decent reffing.

During the Temple game, the announcers said something about an arm injury. I don’t know if that continues to be the problem.

1) not sure why Sehic doesn't play all the time
2) if we hit free throws we win...looking at you senior guard and you sehic
3) the refs were comically bad. a veritable clown crew. Dunleavy is a millionaire, he should have kicked one of them in the shins and paid the fine

Embo bothered by some injured fingers on shooting hand.
