Tulane vs Temple

Post by tulaneoutlaw »

Surprised no one has posted about this yet. The AAC tournament kicks off today with several games including Tulane vs Temple. The game is on ESPNU at 7:00 PM ET. This is a winnable game and one we will hopefully be motivated for. It's win or go home time and it would be nice to keep playing. Temple is a 5.5 point favorite.

If we can find our shooting stroke on a neutral court like early in the season, we can win tonight, we could beat Wichita in round two, and we certainly could beat Houston or UCF or whoever we'd face after that. There is a path to the finals that isn't completely unrealistic, but it will require us to have gotten fully rested this past week and to have everything clicking.

At that point, we'd have to hope someone else had shocked Cincinnati earlier.

Beating Temple is certainly something we can do. But to do so Reynolds has to have a hot hand from the outside and at least one other player. And we can't start out cold as an ice cube yet again.

We are capable of beating almost anybody in the league which is why this season has been frustrating. Realistically 4 wins in 4 days with no depth is a really big ask.

Dude, if I had won the gold curling I would have, at a minimum, photoshopped a gold medal onto my avatar

It's a therapy emu so it would generally be inappropriate for it to have a gold medal on it because only participation medal would be appropriate otherwise certain people may be triggered. An Olympic gold medal would be an acceptable exception IMO.

I agree with Pete, this team has been struggling. They seem off whether they are tired or are losing confidence. They were playing defense, hitting long shots and free throws and showing confidence in clutch situations when they won.

Recently Reynolds has not been himself, Frazier has not been as dominant, they do not work together, no one seems ready to "step up" until it is late into crunch time. And as good as Daniels plays at times, he has recently come in late and made some crucial freshman mistakes. Would like to see this team take a big step forward and make amends for the recent drought. They certainly deserve some wins for all the work they have put into this season. Roll Wave

The season was entertaining, but somewhat disappointing. Beat most of the OOC teams that we should have, but only one more conference win than last year. Unless baseball surprises, or maybe men's tennis, 2017-2018 is going to end very similar to 2016-2017. Saw some good things. Have reason for optimism, but no big accomplishments. No conference championships, again.

Line was basically dead on. Still lots more work to be done before we sniff the tourney.

I have a really good feeling about this fall, but it's a long way until then. Would be nice to see baseball turn things around between now and then.

Tough to see Cam leave. He played his heart out. Until we get bigger and more physical, we are going to struggle. Rebounding and defense killed us the entire year.
