Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Going to middle of 3 down 3-0.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Bohm hits a solo shot. 4-0 going to the 4th with Spoon headed to the plate.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Spoon with another hit (our only two of the day so far). Steals 2b. Got something brewing.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Bedgood with a double (like moving him to three hole). 4-1!
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Jensen hit by pitch. First and second with no outs.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Barnhouse gets out of the jam by punching out the side. 4-1 bottom of 4.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Keagan has really settled down since the first as we had to the 5th down 4-1.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Spoon with another hit. This time a double. Average climbing to .341. Mashing the ball.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Stranded at 2nd. Shockers come to bat bottom of 5.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
McAffer comes in for Gillies. Shockers pick up another run. 5-1 as head to the 6th.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Killgore relieves Barnhouse. Wave with 1st and 2nd with one out.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Wave leads in hits 8-7, but trails where it counts 5-1 as we enter the bottom of 6.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Heinrich with second career HR as Wave close lead to three.

So you're turning this thread into a game thread on the main board when there's a game thread in the game threads forum?
Hey, I guess you're the only one here, so you do you.

WSU answers with one of their own. 6-2 top of 8.

Pete, in case you weren’t paying attention, we went about two weeks without any game being covered on the scoreboard. Does it really matter - to anyone? We supposedly have this portion of the fan base that hates baseball and Jewett. It appears to me we really don’t have anybody that really cares - period. The fans that supposedly care say nothing other than you do what you do. Baseball support has pretty much evaporated. Typically the people that do post on the scoreboard are by themselves. Nothing really new during anygame the last month or so. And let’s correct one thing, you and I are the only ones here!PeteRasche wrote:So you're turning this thread into a game thread on the main board when there's a game thread in the game threads forum?

Now 8-2 as we go to the 9th.
Re: Baseball Sucks, Jewett Sucks, I hate Baseball, I hate Je
Lose 8-2 and drop series 2–1. Each team ends up with 10 hits. Good to see Spoon and Heinrichs with 3 hit days. Wave fall to 13-20 and 4-5 in the AAC. As of now, our RPI sits at 124. Cinncy leads the league currently at 6-3 with several games still being played. It will be nice to get back home with Houston coming to town next weekend.

Actually, I think it was about two games.tjtlja wrote:Pete, in case you weren’t paying attention, we went about two weeks without any game being covered on the scoreboard. It used to be that people would gather there and DISCUSS the game, rather than just letting one or two people post p-b-p/updates. But in the past few seasons of futility, I guess everyone decided that mowing the lawn, cleaning the bathrooms, or rearranging sock drawers is more important. Especially considering what small amount of discussion was posted was generally extremely negative.
I probably should delete all of your off-topic posts, but I've ceased to care. Wallow on.

I've noticed. Personally I don't follow baseball that closely (never have) but I'm stuck at work this afternoon and checked in to see what was happening. I noticed there was a thread and went to see what was going on with the game. Then I came here and found you doing the exact same thing in this thread (which is not the point of this thread - and you know that), so I was just pointing out that there actually WAS a thread today and you were basically doing the same thing being done over there. I wasn't trying to be (too) snarky, just pointing out you coulda saved some work by one of you, or you two could have conversed while following...tjtlja wrote:Pete, in case you weren’t paying attention, we went about two weeks without any game being covered on the scoreboard. Because people seem to be asking about past records, here's the Wikipedia article of all past seasons. Have at it, Greenies.

So I'd guess '93 was the last time we started this poorly. Last year was almost as bad, but not quite at this point in the season.tumbuuh wrote:Because people seem to be asking about past records, here's the Wikipedia article of all past seasons. Have at it, Greenies.

Didn't we have some bad luck with pitcher health in 93? We won 39 the year before (Romano, Zweig?), dropped down to below .500 in 93, then went right back up to 41 in 94.waverider wrote:Brockhoff's last year. Zweig's arm fell off in '93, I believe.PeteRasche wrote:Didn't we have some bad luck with pitcher health in 93?
