I spoke to Roper Sunday during the double header.

He stated his ankle was a little sore, and he should be ready on Friday.

He is not starting on Friday. Robert Price will take the bump. Maybe he could pitch some low leverage spots on Friday or Saturday but I wouldn't count on us rushing him back.
Right now we have a 0.01% chance of being an at-large bid. Sweep this weekend and that jumps up to 5%. Everyone wants to win every game but as it stands next Friday is much more important for Rope.

Never say never but with 18 regular season games left, we would probably need to go 15-3 to get to 32 wins, AND go deep into the AAC tourney, to even be a long shot.

I agree with keeping him out with our best chance at a regional being by winning the regular season title and a deep run in the tournament.
