"Past history tells us that the chances of all the hosts advancing to the Sweet 16 is pretty slim (hasn't happened yet) so my upset pick this year is Tulane. If I had to guess I'd say the most popular upset pick among the masses will be Georgia but I personally don't see it happening this year."

"Florida State Regional - Florida State will crush Alabama State, who has the lowest UTR Power 6 in the field, while the AAC champs, Tulane, will get past Alabama. A year ago Tulane had Texas beat in the second round but a few guys couldn't close the door that Texas left open and it ended up being a crushing 4-3 loss. I think Tulane uses that experience from last year and pushes through this year to upset FSU 4-3 with Luis Erlenbusch winning the last match on at No. 4."

Men's tennis lost a tiebreaker 9-7 at #2 doubles to drop the doubles point. We have lost the doubles point a number of time this year only to come back and win the singles (including in the conference finals) so this is not unusual. When we win the doubles point, we are undefeated though (14-0).

Guys lost the 1st set in 4 of the 6 singles matches. Going to take a gutsy come back to advance.

Now down 3-1 with a loss at 5 singles. Will have to sweep the last 3 courts to advance.

Wave battles back to split sets at 1 and after being down 3-5 in the 3nd at 6 now lead 6-5. But #4 singles after being up 2-0 in 3rd is now down 4-2. Wave needs all 3 of these matches.

Wave loses 4-1. Lost #4 6-4 in the 3rd. It was 5-5 in the 2nd set tiebreaker at 6 and 0-1 to start the 3rd at #1.

Not our best match today, but a great season and conference title for Coach Booras and team.

Really surprised by this. On paper, we were a better team. I think Bama had lost quite a few in a row coming in and they are ranked in the 40s while we are 22. Booras and team did a great job this season though and can't wait to see the conference championship banner flying high. We need a new tennis facility for what is now our best program.

Alabama beats FSU 4-2 to head to the sweet 16. Looks like this was their weekend.

I've heard the AD mention a tennis facility is in the works, but working on funding. Its part of a long-term strategy. Not sure on timing/location.
