NJwave wrote:Roper was great but he was spent in the 8th. Had he used Borngeld yesterday for the 8th and White for the 9th in what was a rout he could have used Pellerin today. White has been awful lately and anybody could have seen that happening when he got the call today. It should have been Pellerin for the 8th and Sam for the 9th today.
As for White he cam in and threw 95 pitches for us on Friday. He was pitching on 4 days rest the same as ECU's starter who didn't last long today. He wasn't the one to bring in b/c he wasn't going to be ready. Bjorngjeld or Massey should have got the call.

fwiw, there seems to be confusion in an earlier post in this thread about game time for Tulane vs. Houston in the losers' bracket.
It is set for 8 a.m. Central time on Thursday (May 24). 13 hours from now...more or less.

That's new as of this evening. It appears we'll try to get some ball in in the morning.

And if we win we'll play again right after. As of right now. The confusion will continue, trust me. With any luck, so will our season.

You bring in your best pitcher in that situation, starter or not. This is our World Series. What was he thinking?

In two days, the Clearwater forecasts went from 100% precipitation to 10%.

Sounds like the forecasting here. Or anywhere that The Weather Channel or Accuweather takes a stab. 8)
