Watching TCM with my dad. I could argue for both and win.

I love that flick but have seen that and Private Ryan so many times I figured I’d try something else.

A tough movie to watch, but at the end you're so glad you did.

Watching several episodes of "Band of Brothers". Steven Ambrose was history prof at UNO. Great stories.

I have nothing but respect for my SEAL brethren. Crazy bastards and I’m honored to have served with them.

I play trivia with a group at the local BWW (Buzztime, look for AO Sig on Saturday lunchtime). We discussed these two movies today! Having a 1960's flower child driving a tank in the 1940's is impressive.

One of the players commented that they had what might be the only functional tiger tank in existence in that movie.

Take Kelly's Heroes any day.

I saw Downfall recently. that was outstanding.

Also Generation Kill. friends in the Marines thought that was relatively accurate.

Kelly's Heroes is good stuff as far entertainment value.

I think Memphis Belle is an underrated movie

I chose DD over KH. Inglorius bastards reminds me of them. So "longest day" or "A bridge too far"?

Sutherland is great in both of them, "they're very pretty, but can they fight?"

Kelly’s Heroes and day...Clint Eastwood, Don Rickles, Tiger tanks...what’s not to like?

The Naked and the Dead comes on tonight at 2:45 on TCM, so set the DVR. Good adaptation of the Norman Mailor novel

impossible to choose between the two because they are both superb movies

I remember I stumbled upon Kelly's Heroes pretty much by accident... it was on the "Movie Loft" one Saturday night in the mid 80s (Movie Loft was the Saturday night movie on Boston's WSBK TV). I had never heard of the movie before and didn't know what to expect.. it instantly became one of my favorite films.
