Began (in it's current form), on this day in 2004.
I guess that also begets a "Happy Father's Day" for noladave and JtS, who paved the way.

Re: Happy Birthday, YOGWF
I need to start putting this date on my calendar..
Thanks.
It will interesting to see where sports boards end up in 5 years. With social media chasing the latest fad, you never know if specialized message boards won’t end up as the “cool” place again.
Or, a desert graveyard.
Happy Father’s Day to everyone!!
Thanks.

there are days when I miss the Wild West that was the old Forum. It could get pretty crazy and then JtS would just "flush" the Forum and delete every single post
No registration required, just make up a username and post away. Which meant we were bombarded with LSU posters who just couldn't stay away. Just lunacy. And then we migrated to this place where we could control things a bit better.
Dave you're right about the future of sports forums like this, at another site where I lurk (non-sports oriented mostly computers and tech) there is a real honest debate about whether we're dinosaurs looking at extinction as younger members move to newer forms of internet interaction or if there will always be a place for sites like this.
