I want to see Hawaii's truck! Maybe they have an amphibious vehicle?
Yes they do. And as AO Sig noted, so do the bands. It's all just too much to get onto a plane. Drum corps (sort of like professional marching bands that tour the country each summer) often have their own, as do the top college marching bands. Here's a breakdown of the convoy that transports stuff for one drum corps, which are capped by rule at 150 members: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/97/80/42 ... f17038.jpg. The NCAA football 18-wheelers even have their own fans: https://twitter.com/ncaafballtrucks?lang=en. I found out that the team has also offered to haul some of the band's stuff to UAB to save on the cost of the band renting their own just for the one game. It's incredible how much cooperation happens on campus now between the band, coaches, dance team, cheerleaders, and athletics admins - everyone's been helping each other out, and it's a good thing to see.

When we were in the Superdome, the band had a rental truck for every home game, and the football team has been renting some trucks for supplemental space, so this probably saves the department/university money long-term (not to mention it's a giant billboard for Tulane football).

The vista of its glory gleameth far.
We shall ever be part of thee, great Mother;
Thou wilt be where e'er thy children are.

I like the reflection of the stadium in the helmet visor.

Tulane football notebook: Wave buys 18-wheel equipment truck to keep up with the times

apparently, when WF said he had done it all he wasn't kidding, he drove the equipment truck when he was the HC at Blinn College :lol:

This makes me want to get my CDL and volunteer to drive this thing to all the games. Maybe that will be part of my retirement plan.
