Wake is a touchdown favorite.

I won't be shocked if we win b7 14 or lose by 21.

I'm starting to feel really good about this game, and I'm over 50% at thinking we'll win. But I also know it's week one and I tend to get excited. Forcing myself to try to keep that out of it and make a calm pick. So here goes nothing:

Wake 28
Wave 25

I think we should win this game after jumping on them early and building a lead. I believe that their running game will wear us down in the 2nd half, but if they get behind, they'll have to depend upon a freshman QB to win the game for them. I like the matchup.

Tulane wins by scoring at least 1 more point than Wake.

Thanks to FS54, I now revise my prediction:

Wake 56
Wave 3

FS54, why do you hate Tulane so much?!?

I think it goes down to the wire, and Tulane wins (or loses) by 2 points.

Something like Tulane 30 WF 28 (or the reverse WF 30, TU 28).

Oh. That's sounds like a real nailbiter. Reminds me of the time I asked my dad, rest his soul, if he had ever been to a MLB game. He said yes and he commented that the game went to extra innings tied at 0, and the home team scored on a bases loaded walk to win 1-0.

A rare boisterous crowd rattles their freshman QB. It's low margins early but commitment to the ground game wears them out and we unleash the vertical passing game and gash bigger runs in the 2nd half. The Deacons are thusly EXCOMMUNICATED.

Is it really supposed to rain (too lazy to look it up)?

I was gonna say Tulane 47, Wake 24.

But if it's rainy I'll say Tulane 27, Wake 13.

Or the story of the guy who kept pushing his wife to get ready so they could go to the game. She was on "wife time," so they arrived at the stadium in the middle of the 4th quarter, with the score still tied at 0-0, and him thinking of ways to commit murder.

"See," she exclaimed. "We didn't miss anything; there's still no score!"

I believe the final score/wnner will be determined by turnover margin and special teams. If we can win both of those, we win the game. Plus I like that we have the experience advantage at the most important position on the team...QB.

Typical summer weather. Rain should be over by game time.

Pete--- 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms, high of 87. Considering it rains once a day this time of year (late morning or late afternoon), that's better than average prediction. And odds on that nothing by kickoff.
