People do care about opening game. Scheduling it on a Thursday is a major mistake and this is proof of it. Was that pointed out at the meeting? Thanks.noladave wrote:The fan committee met tonight, and had a nice 2 hour, 2 way conversation with all of the stakeholders (Tulane Athletics Admin). Very frank discussion, and quite honestly something we (or at least I) never saw with the previous admin. They shared some numbers with us, that they asked to keep to ourselves. One thing I will say, is that the Nicholls St. game brought in more game revenue than Wake Forest. That surprised me. Not because Nicholls brough more fans, but I thought opening game would mean something to most people. Apparently it did not.
Anyway, as I said, this is a great idea, and it’s the 3rd year of it I believe, but the 1st year that I have been involved.
Feel free to send me compliments/complaints, and I will forward them along. Oh, and that brings up something else. If you see something going “not the right way” on game day. Call someone’s attention to it, so that they can attempt to fix it right there. They advertise a text number that anyone can send to, and explain what the problem is.
As for talking to staff about problems that was done and they said they could do nothing.
