If you're expecting "filled" to really mean filled, read Donny Z's post at the bottom of page one of the "14 point favorites" thread.

Actually I have read and replied on it (just a few minutes ago). But I know "filled" is just a wish of mine. It takes years of continued success to get a "filled" stadium, even once much less a regularity. And in my 65 years of attending games, continued success and Tulane football are two phrases that have never been used in the same sentence...except in THIS sentence.

Be aware that there are only two people who would post that on this thread. 1) The one who posted it here on this forum or some other JA named ml ----.

Oh, I'm not nearly smart enough to do something like that. Perhaps the most brilliant thing I've ever seen.

JA? I don't get it. Junior Achievement? Jane Austen? Japanese American? Johnny Appleseed?

Looking ahead a couple of days, the weather should be pretty good @ game time on Saturday, with no rain . A welcome relief from the dog days of late August and September. Pretty much no excuse for any no shows. Be there and be loud Wave fans. 8)

One thing I haven't seen mentioned, this is a bowl elimination game for ECU. The odds are long, but if they win out starting with us, they'll be 6-6 and bowling. We already eliminated one team, Tulsa, this season but it would be nice to do it again. Would like to get up by a couple of scores early and snuff out their will to fight back.

Another angle: we don't want to be in one of those "elimination" games, especially since the game vs Houston is on a short week and at their place, and they are not exactly chopped liver. Must avoid that scenario.

ECU is a MUST win game for us, make no mistake. UH on a short week is a tall order. Navy no shoe in, either.

As if the past two weeks were not "Must Wins".

Houston has a short week to prepare for our unorthodox offense as well. Is D'nofrio still their DC????????

Hmm, a little support from nola.com. Didn't know they knew Tulane existed.
