You have to see it from across the street to appreciate it.

The OL grad transfer from Brown, Montano, is official, at least according to Tulane twitter and Guerry Smith

Believe he signed.
I had lunch with a rep yesterday who lives in Knoxville, has seen him play at South Doyle, very complementary (the rep is from Louisiana, think he is a tigger fan, but was impressed with our play in the Cure Bowl).

He said he was very good on both sides of the line; will be interesting to see which side he ends up on.

That isn't to say the spin isn't true, or that this class wont help, nor does it mean that we aren't moving forward as a program.

But this was not a "win" compared to last year, especially given a bowl season to help sell to recruits. I'm sure the 2-5 start didn't help.....
So much of recruiting is done early, we practically didn't have a bowl season to sell. If that has a positive effect, we'll see it in next year's class.

Prof, not a step back. Ratings are BS, end of story. Winning consistently will get us higher ratings (deservedly or not), more filled seats at Yulman, more fans generally and higher rated players. Given how badly Minnesota has played with highly rated classes proves to me that results on the field is what counts.
ML Wave don't forget February signing period, we've got 4 more slots!

Does anyone know if Tyrone Lewis out of Hammond sign at 2pm today or did he put it off? Also, did Tyler Scott and Zach Edwards sign?

1. Nick Anderson flips from USA to the Wave and is signed.

2. Lewis will wait until spring signing

Lewis may not really want to sign with us, but Kansas St is in the same boat. Keep after him.

Hodges is ours. Trust ftw.

To me this is like a company that meets or exceeds estimates by a bit, but the stock price doesn't go up: the expectation of good earnings was already priced in. I think we were expected to be in a (minor) bowl and we met expectations - had we not, we may have lost some recruits.
And last year's at 5-7 basically met expectations. The class last year had a few Feb signings that put it over the top (to distinguish it from this class)and that may happen this time.
Next year should be pretty big if we have a pretty big season...I doubt recruits "price in" a big season for us, so if we get off to a good start, recruiting should go really well.
