Pelican Cup vs UNO - Game two

Unread post by BC Wave »

I like
Our team’s approach at the plate lately.
The wind should be blowing out, mildly
It seems that some of our relievers are coming around (Campbell, Cellucci, maybe Price)
We may see some of our pitchers that hadn’t seen much action in a while (Bates, Boeneke, Massey, Segar)

I don’t like
that UNO is ooc this weekend so saving pitchers is not an issue for them
We play our conference series starting Thursday so saving arms is an issue for us

In another thread I was about to type that Campbell's weekend should have him at least considered for conference pitcher of the week.

Then I remembered he pitched on Tuesday last week and it disqualified him.

The midweek games are huge for us. Our RPI needs to improve and losses to teams with bad RPI's will make that very difficult. We get to a regional by winning midweek and taking 2 of 3 weekend games the rest of the way. The UCONN series will be huge as they have a good RPI and finishing second in the league would go a long way towards a bid.
