Cinci's playing their best baseball (one could argue their best ever baseball in the history of the program) at the right time
Oregon State... was not. We will see indeed.

How about that bases loaded IBB though? Advanced technique but it appears to have worked out for Scott Googans.

1309, I posted the same thing on the non-Tulane sports board last night. It has only been twice in major league history.

What about UCONN with 19 hits and only 5 runs against Nebraska. Just crazy.

Were they both Barry Bonds or was Babe Ruth IBB with bases loaded??

Bonds is definitely one of them. You would think Ruth is one of them.

The other was Mark Hamilton

the last time it happened in college was in a Wichita regional in the 80s. Some insignificant guy named Pete Incaviglia who was definitely not doing anything notable to baseballs that season.

In something we’re too familiar with, Cincy’s starter got in trouble. And when they went to the pen they promptly walked 4 batters. Had a 4-1 lead, lost 10-5.

Matt, it looked just like us. Just no control and walking in runs. They missed out on a golden opportunity with Oregon State being eliminated. It is going to be very tough to win 3 in a row. Michigan has some talent and Bakich is from the Corbin tree (sounds familiar). And Creighton is very good. It would be a great story, but I don’t see it happening. Hope I am wrong.

UConn however, is still alive. They beat Nebraska and then Oklahoma St this evening to move to a winner take all game tomorrow vs Oklahoma St.

In Greenville, ECU lost to Quinnipiac, then eliminated NCST. Currently ahead of Quinnipiac 5-1. Campbell in the driver seat at the moment.

USM has to beat LSU twice if they’re going to advance.

Not ECU. On to Super's for the Pirates. It pains me to say it but another example that those doing seeding are more good than lucky. (Helps to play at home too when you must emerge from loser's bracket.)

I figured ECU would make it through despite coming out of the loser's bracket.
