...yes I know we should want the first game since it is the next game.
...yes I know we want the X bowl because it means we won to get there.

We aren't on the team and we can look ahead...

I really want the Houston game because I think it will be the key to winning the west. They get Memphis at home and have an easier east draw than Memphis. I really want a western division title outright this year. On top of that we owe them something for the beat down we got last year. That Thursday game looms large.

Nobody is owed a beating more than SMU. I still can't get past the first game, though.

consistently the best team in the AAC. Solid Offense and Defense. That game will tell me how far we've come and how far we still have to go.

They were definitely my runner up. However, the SMU games the past three years were on us not taking care of business. Last year falling apart in the fourth blowing a 23-14 lead. In 2017 we all remember the last play, but we should have won the game on 1st and goal when Banks missed a wide open receiver. In 2016, we blew a 31-21 4th Quarter lead.

Auburn. Beating them means this will be a very special.year, and we will get some national media attention along the way.

Otherwise, as others have pointed out, SMU is due for crushing.

lsu in the Independence Bowl. Because they and their fans are the biggest sacks of p00p in the history of p00pdom.

LSU in the Birmingham bowl is more likely.

Got to agree with SMU, because f 'em, that's why.

Other than that, whoever we play in a bowl game. Two bowl wins in a row is all too rare for us, and we need to get over that hump.

LSU. Oh, that's right, they won't play us.

We owe FIU as much as anyone. But for sheer joy and recognition, Auburn, no one else comes close. We're due to win one of those type of games. Not to mention the fun and enjoyment I would have in teasing all of the Aubies in the ATL that I know, my next door neighbor included. Not to mention that it would be Malzahn's death knell. As it is, I believe we will be competitive in that game and will take home $1.9M to boot.

How I hope you're right.
This will be where McMillan can be a difference maker. Shouldn't be afraid or panic at a game in this atmosphere. What he signed up for at pig school up the river.
They will have 75 guys as good as our best 20.
And some of their best individuals will be better than our best individuals.
But if we can get a turnover and maybe return a kick/punt....
How great it would be to have the game in doubt middle 4th quarter?

Biggest concern to me is injuries....but on second thought we aren't playing a (chop block) service academy so why worry.

Army. Still pissed about CBT aka Buffet Bob's debacle at HC at Gormley.

Navy. I’m two hours from USNA, and a lot of my old work colleagues were boat schoolers who could not understand why I turned down an appointment, and loved to rub it.

AMEN, Brother! I like the way you're thinking.

Otherwise it's UCant. I want them to have a long safe trip home thinking about how glorious life will be playing football in the new Big East.

I can't choose just one. I put Auburn, UCF, Houston and Memphis at a dead heat tie at the top, each for the reasons others have mentioned above. I have Army in a very close second (actually fifth) behind them because they are cheating chop-blockers who will get every call so beating them is a monumental task... But I can't make them choice "1e" because beating them doesn't mean that much otherwise.

I don't prioritize SMU because, as was also said, we beat ourselves in all of those losses, so I harbor no ill will against them specifically (and I think we'll curb stomp them this year). If y'all need to harbor a grudge in those games it should be against the refs and Ruse.

Auburn. I want to see Booby Whitlow get creamed in the backfield and cough up a fumble we return for the touchdown that ices it. I get that he was 18. I get that kids try to show off on signing day. But his hat stunt still irks me. I grew up in an Auburn family and will cheer for Auburn in every other game they play.

My two choices are Auburn, since this will be the talk of every sports show the rest of the weekend, and UCF, so I can rib my daughter (a sophomore there) a bit.

Good choices AO. Those are mine as well as they would be considered top level wins and gain us some national attention.

Last year was the time to pants SMU and we blew that one.

That stunt should be shared all game week long on every Tulane social media site.

National Championship Game where Glover fulfills his dream and wins it on a 50 yarder.
