Unsurprisingly: no votes for first time since preseason.

If Wake Forest (22) or San Diego State (24) lose this week, we should have five in the poll by the time we play Temple. UCF gets Tulsa this weekend and assuming they win there, they'd be on deck to jump back in. They then have their bye week before playing us, so there's a chance that they could be in the rankings when we host them.

Even if we beat Temple, I don't see us getting any votes unless and until we beat UCF. Of course, if we did, we might jump in and take their spot, as all three of our losses are now to ranked teams.

Navy has Notre Dame (after a bye), but then SMU. If they beat ND, both will be ranked when Navy faces SMU (assuming SMU beats ECU), and the loser will fall out. What would be bad is if Navy loses to ND and falls out, but then beats SMU and they both end up out...

We have the potential to have 4 teams in the top 20 and (without checking schedules) a top 15 matchup in a Memphis/Cincinnati championship game.

Memphis play Cincinnati in the final game of the season. They only play again if Memphis wins that game

...and if Cincinnati beat Temple the game before. If Temple wins out, they finish with two conference losses. If UCF wins out, so do they. If Cincinnati loses to Temple and Memphis, they also have two losses. Cincy, Temple, and UCF would have a round-robin head-to-head situation (Temple>Cincy, Cincy>UCF, UCF>Temple). Assuming those three don't lose any others unexpectedly (i.e., USF beating UCF), Temple would get the tiebreaker by virtue of having beat Memphis who would be the highest non-divisional common foe and that beat Cincy.

I think.

In other words, Tulane's last three games all have major impacts on both divisional races, even if we don't end up winning ours.
