1) that’s why they weren’t sitting in their seats

2) I’ve been gifted Glazier seats about a dozen times, and I’ve never seen lobster. Homecoming must bring out the big dogs.

Dayum, those numbers are impressive even by New Orleans standards.

Someone should do the 1500 person, per-person average. Two beers each plus...

1,800 servings pasta

Thanks, DCG. But let's say class of '69 (my wife keeps lying about her age, and I don't want to be branded as a cradle-robber).

Windy, are you going to take issue with the food network? (CLASSIC Vodka Martini)
But obviously, I had some help--I rarely finish more than 6 or 7 bottles of Vodka at a sitting; you must be thinking of Prof--he's the one who pulls for the Russians.

He only roots for them in hockey. His drink of choice is probably kalimotxo

The food network stinks. The only good thing to come from it was Anthony Bourdain and he left after two seasons.

Also, my wife adds: there is no such thing as a vodka martini (and it’s worth noting she doesn’t even like gin)

The Blantons costs money. I’ve seen it there and I’ve been tempted, But we have a rule that we try not to spend money on food or drink at sporting events, and I certainly wasn’t going to break that rule at an otherwise open bar. And I’ll guarantee if Blanton was free they would’ve gone through a lot more of it.

Cue Captain Obvious.

Around here (close to Kentucky and about 90 minutes from Buffalo Trace where it's distilled), when a batch of Blanton's comes out, it's gone in minutes. It's only a little behind Pappy in desirability. Some of that is the collector toppers, but still... free Blanton's would make some social media headlines.

Exactly. The Vodka Martini became a "thing" way back in ancient times, very soon after the Gin Martini was first concocted. It is favored by those who like their alcohol "pure," without juniper berries screwing up the flavor.

It would still only be 'free' in the sense that you paid an astronomical donation to be in the club in the first place.

There were 7 or so members of a certain forum that will go nameless that were at the pregame tailgate before the Wake Forest game in Winston-Salem, where they ran out of beer, forcing some to turn to "Wednesday was a good vintage" grape juice wine. Rumors are that some dude kept getting called "Roller" there...
