Haven’t beaten Temple since 1935 and never at Temple. Yikes.

Time for a change.

We have a chance to beat them “at Temple”. Our last road game in an NFL stadium was at USF last year and that went pretty well.

Really depends what Tulane shows up.

TUPF... when's the last time you saw a Wave win in person? I mean, I know folks around here are all about juju and voodoo and superstition... maybe you ought to be sitting this one out...

Sorry, I meant a Tulane road win up in your neck of the woods. Gotta be an Army or Navy game years ago, right?

At Army I’ve seen wins in 1998, 2003, and 2015 but alas, missed this year. My Tulane submarine shipmate and I drove up from SUBASE New London in 1979 to watch us destroy Boston College. We dismantled Rutgers during the 1998 perfect season—the look of shock on their faces was priceless. We eked out a win at Rutgers in 2010 but got destroyed in 2014. The only win at Navy I attended was in 2001. I attended Temple in 2015 at the last event minute because of a canceled business trip to Turkey but Rhule’s Temple Owls crushed us.

So I would say my juju is mixed but given how few road wins we’ve had since I was a freshman in 1974, and that the Navy and work overseas got in the way for many years, I’ve been pretty lucky.

We've only played Temple 4 times before this weekend. It's not like this is some long standing series. The only real history is the Sugar Bowl in 1935

They need to play up at BC again. Hopefully it happens in my lifetime.... Alumni Stadium is about a 7 minute drive from my house.

Every time I check the forecast is a tad colder. Kickoff high expected 39 with 12 kt wind gusting to 18 kts. Real feel 29. Wind abates as the day wears on but temps dropping below freezing. Real feel in the teens. Sunset 4:44 Eastern.

I’m actually digging out that flask I have somewhere given to me for groomsman duty decades ago.
