Re: WAVE BASEBALL
Tulane will play just one game vs. Southeastern La. on the road in Hammond on March 3
that makes 50 games confirmed via release of other teams' schedules.
UNO-- 1 game
Southeastern- 1
LSU - 1
Nicholls -2
Miss State - 3
AAC- 32
Troy - 3
La. Tech - 3
Grambling-1
ULL - 3
that leaves 6 games unaccounted for, presumably two weekend non conference series in March

Re: WAVE BASEBALL
The Nicholls and Grambling vs. Tulane games have now been taken off the online posted schedules of Grambling and Nicholls respectively; so I guess the Wave isn't playing either of those guys this year. I count 47 games now with 9 unknowns.
32 conference games
LSU, UNO and Southeastern La. midweek for one game each, with the Southeastern game the only one of those on the road.
Plus, home weekend series vs. La. Tech and ULL
Non conference road weekend series vs. Miss. State and Troy
Fear the Wave, last I looked, wasn't yet posting that Tulane opens the season at home Feb. 19 with a three-game weekend series vs. ULL and makes a three-game road trip to Troy March 12-14. Both of those series are listed on the recently released ULL and Troy schedules online at each of those schools' athletic dept. websites.

A big question is "Will anyone be able to attend, except for family members"?

Since a few are now being let in for basketball, perhaps some optimism is in store for baseball. We will know shortly.CletusRelm wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 10:38 am A big question is "Will anyone be able to attend, except for family members"?
LSU will allow 25% capacity.

Baseball should be much less restrictive than basketball because it's outdoors. But we saw how that fact was considered by those making the rules with football (read: it wasn't) so...

Re: WAVE BASEBALL
The weekend series are a bit odd since basically every other game outside of conference is regional travel. Quite a haul for the Hilltopers and Antelopes, but I guess that's who we could get to come our wayrandymc wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 6:02 pm missing series:

The anticipation is that most of our games would be on ESPN+. We would have had all of them there if our on-campus production facility had been completed in 2020, but there were some setbacks due to some global pandemic or something.Yankeewave wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 11:04 am Hopefully the schedule will denote games carried on Espn +

The Pelicans were allowed to increase attendance to 1500, from 750. That's indoors, so maybe we can do better than that.waverider wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 10:58 pmAs of now that number is around 40-50 including any local players familiesSophandros wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 9:43 pmWe're going to have as many people in Turchin as the city will allow.Baywave1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:32 amSince a few are now being let in for basketball, perhaps some optimism is in store for baseball. After you've been on fire under Arctic pack ice everything else is a walk in the park.

Re: WAVE BASEBALL
Poor attempt at sarcasm. The stadium is so far from where students congregate. Few ever attend games. It's outside. Can't understand why 300-500 people couldn't attend. I really look forward to spending many spring days/evenings at Turchin. Frustrated and disappointed.
