Mainly sunny and we may even hit 50 degrees for game time. Brisk but that's not even popsicle ball.
I'm sure we'll have a few happy souls here who attend the opener under the COVID rules. Pull the Wave through for us and stay warm!

Opening Day!
After you've been on fire under Arctic pack ice everything else is a walk in the park.

That "plus" subscription has been money in the bank! Roll Wave. Can't remember when I've last seen a baseball game.

Ditto. I'm very excited for today and for basically the entire season to be streamed. In terms of the on field product, my best in-person Tulane sports memories came on sunny spring days in Yulman.Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:11 pm That "plus" subscription has been money in the bank! + has given us more much more access for baseball, volleyball and women's basketball, perhaps men's basketball as well. I wish we were on non-plus channels more for football, but I'll take what I can get.
Re: BB v ULL at Turchin at 2pm CST on ESPN+
I remember watching games on All Access on my phone or computer where you could barely see where the ball was hit and sometimes the log in didn't even work. ESPN + is so much better. Using Airdrop or just logging on to ESPN+ through the tv means watching a real production on a real tv. No more cheering what actually was a ground out to the pitcher.

Yes. Yulman was after my time, though I did make the first game there. I have good memories at the Dome, but only for the extracurriculars. Too much Banquet Bob involvement on the field.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:40 pmTurchin?tulaneoutlaw wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:41 pm In terms of the on field product, my best in-person Tulane sports memories came on sunny spring days in Yulman.

Unless USL (they'll always be usl to me, not University of Louisiana) has extraordinary pitching, we're lacking greatly at the plate. #2 for usl has been our best offensive weapon.

Some great memories at Turchin. Who can remember the grills down the right-field line? We'd bring burgers and dogs; fire up the pit during the game.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:40 pmTurchin?tulaneoutlaw wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:41 pm In terms of the on field product, my best in-person Tulane sports memories came on sunny spring days in Yulman.

Tulane 3 ULL 2. Aviles with clutch single with 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th to get the win. Great start to the season.

Well, that was exciting. Good to get the win and see Aviles redeem himself after a rough start to the day.
Now let's 10 run rule the next two....

Technology. I was able to watch the last two batters while in line for a ride! I was cheering for the second run to score!

I'm sure you got some stares from nexium and schoolbus wearing folks in line (since it's my understanding that you can't go anywhere in Orlando without seeing people in head to toe upriver gear)...

There were a lot of them for sure. Saw a few people besides me wearing Tulane shirts during the week as well.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 7:32 pmI'm sure you got some stares from nexium and schoolbus wearing folks in line (since it's my understanding that you can't go anywhere in Orlando without seeing people in head to toe upriver gear)...
