I wanted to thank you all again for the well wishes and support while my wife was battling COVID.
She finally came home today. The past five weeks were in the hospital's rehab wing where she started out barely able to move her hands on day 1 to being able to walk across the house this afternoon, albeit with a walker.
I think Mercy Hospital in Miami chalked her up in the 'W' column. Not a lot of people who reached the point she had on a ventilator ended up walking out of the hospital during this pandemic.
In related news... my "vacation" is over!!

a couple more days of "nagging" like "those shades aren't even" or "stop yelling at our daughter" and I may ask for a juju thread!!
once again, I appreciate all of you and your support.. we may bicker about stupid things but when it became "real" you were a great "family" for me

GREAT NEWS!!! Didn't know anyone personally who has encountered Covid, but I am she is on the road to recovery.
That is great news. I hope she has a speedy and full recovery. Perhaps this will give yall an appreciation for each others company over the next 20, 30, 40 years(i have non idea how old you are) that may have not been there otherwise.

I echo everybody's sentiments. I'm very happy to hear the good news. I really appreciate you sharing her story as nobody on this site can now claim they don't know anybody that was effected by COVID. Maybe it will change a mind or two.
