Footballscoop says we have a new ST coordinator

His name is Robby Discher. He comes from Georgia where he was an analyst. He has old connections to Fritz and a lot of varied experience. He sounds more than solid.

Fritz prides himself on good special teams as evident in the improvements since his arrival. I trust his judgement.

Well, there's one of the "I wonder whether we're getting someone from a team in the CFP CG and that's why we haven't heard yet" guys...

The link LG provided really says glowing things about him for "just" an analyst. Sounds good to me.

He’s got the resume. We’d all vote for more blocked kicks.

Resume surely sounds good. I hope better than the last analyst we got from an sec team.

Your friends that are UGA fans have opinions on an analyst that isn't allowed to do any actual coaching?

Analysts can actually coach in practice and games. They just can't interact directly with players. They have to communicate with the coaches only.

If they can't interact directly with players, who exactly are they coaching in practice and games?

Well...you see, during practice, they pretend like they're coaching. :-D
